Finwisdemy · Bengaluru

Nobody taught you this. We do.

A knowledge centre for finance, academics, career, business and AI. Real cases, real documents, and an assessment before and after so you can see what changed.

School prepares you for exams. Almost nothing prepares you for the first salary, the first loan, the first interview, or the first time you have to hold a room.

That gap is not a knowledge problem. It is a teaching problem — and it closes fast when somebody puts the real thing on the table and walks you through it.

Case materials

You work on the real thing.

Anonymised, used with permission, and handed to you exactly as they arrived. This is what a session looks like. They are not illustrations of the teaching — they are the teaching.

01
Case file 04

A credit score of 761, declined twice in one week.

He had never missed a payment. Two lenders turned down the same ₹8,00,000 application inside seven days, and neither told him why. The reason is on the report — 96% of both card limits drawn — but the number everybody watches, the score, never mentions it. On Day 3 the room finds it before we say it.

Worksheet 02 — flat versus reducing balance
02
Worksheet 02

Two offers on the same ₹12,00,000. The cheaper-looking one costs ₹1,05,600 more.

9.25% flat against 11.50% reducing. Every instinct says take the smaller number. Run the sixty months and the flat rate resolves to an effective 16.61% a year. This is not a trick question — it is the single most common way people in India lose a lakh without noticing.

03
Case file 09

A ₹4,12,780 hospital claim, settled at thirty per cent. Entirely lawfully.

The room rent was capped at 1% of the sum insured. They took a ₹4,000 room against a ₹1,200 cap. Clause 4.7 then reduced the surgeon, the anaesthetist, the nursing and the investigations proportionately. Nobody had read clause 4.7. Almost nobody ever does.

The teacher

Taught by people who did the job.

Most training in India is delivered by a rotating pool of trainers working from a deck. Nobody is named on the website, because nobody in particular is responsible for the room.

Our finance tracks are led by Praveen Balasundar. Ten years on the front line of lending and insurance before he taught any of it — and every case file in the programme came off his own desk. Each of the other seven tracks is led by a practitioner in that field.

“I have watched people sign things I would not have let my family sign. That is the entire reason this exists.”

The method follows from that: no theory without a document, no document without a decision attached to it, and an assessment before and after so nobody has to take our word for what changed.

Courses we offer

Eight tracks. One method.

Different subjects, same approach — real material, small rooms, and someone who has done the job standing at the front.

01

Financial literacy and money management

Anyone earning, about to earn, or tired of guessing.

Understand your own money before somebody else explains it to you.

You leave with

A written plan for your own income, and the confidence to read a statement.

02

Mutual funds, trading and investment tools

First-time investors and anyone holding funds they have never understood.

Read a factsheet, open a trading account, and know what you are actually buying.

You leave with

A dismantled live factsheet and a portfolio matched to real goals.

03

Founder mindset and entrepreneurship

People building something, or seriously considering it.

The money and judgement decisions that come before the idea works.

You leave with

A costed plan and a clear view of what your first year demands.

04

AI and digital marketing

Students, marketers and founders who need output, not vocabulary.

Current tools, used properly — not a theory course about the internet.

You leave with

Working campaigns and an AI workflow you will keep using.

05

Career readiness and workplace skills

Final-year students and early-career professionals.

What the first two years of a job actually ask of you.

Anyone whose ideas are better than their delivery.

Being understood — in a room, on a call, and under pressure.

You leave with

Recorded practice, honest critique, and a structure you can reuse.

07

Personal branding and professional image

Professionals stepping up, and anyone client-facing.

How you are read before you say anything. Our image consulting track.

You leave with

A personal brand brief and a wardrobe and presence audit.

08

Global MBA, MSc, MCA and MS pathways

Graduates planning to study abroad.

Overseas degree routes, guided end to end.

You leave with

A shortlist, a timeline, and applications that are actually finished.

Recorded practice with written feedback

Before you ask

Questions.

No. Every track starts from zero and assumes no vocabulary. Students, freshers and working professionals sit in the same room, and it works — because we teach from real documents rather than from theory.

Some of it. The one-day Foundation covers borrowing, saving, insurance and tax well enough to stop you making expensive mistakes. It will not make you job-ready — that is what the six-to-seven day programme is for. We would rather say so than sell you the short one as though it were the long one.

No. Any provider promising total job assurance hedges that claim in its own small print. We prepare you for interviews, run a recorded mock-interview lab, and tell you honestly which roles each track opens and which it does not.

Practitioners. The finance tracks are taught by Praveen Balasundar — ten years in lending and insurance, IRDAI, MDRT, COT and NISM certified. Every other track is led by someone who has done that job for a living, not a trainer working from a deck.

Classroom, in Bengaluru, with limited seats. The case-file work does not survive translation to a webinar, so we do not run one.

The same instrument, sat before your first session and after your last. You get both scores and the difference between them. It is the only figure we publish about ourselves.

All case materials, both assessments, the Finwisdemy certificate, and lunch and coffee on every teaching day. No separate exam fee, no material fee.

Yes. Every track runs as a closed cohort on campus or on site, with the assessment results reported back at cohort level. Tell us the group and we will build the track around it.

Come and sit in the room.
